360° Panoramas are a complete 360° view of a space captured photographically. The viewer has the experience of standing in the centre of a picture from where they can control movement in any direction and the ability to zoom in and out anywhere on the picture which allows them to focus on areas of interest.
Virtual tours are a method of navigating from one 360° panorama to another through an interface. Virtual tours offer the viewer a more complete experience where they can move from one area to another and view 360° Panoramas of specific interest.
The cost depends upon the type and scale of project that is commissioned. Once we have dicussed a client's requirements we can offer several options to which we will realise those options.
As a usual rule of thumb we all around 30 minutes per panorama, which means that the photo shoot can be very brief. The processing of the images electronically and the packaging of the images into a usable media will take several hours of production so that we can guarantee excellent results.
As will all creative projects there are a number of factors which determine the timescale, obviously the complexity of the project and the location are the primary factors, just let us know your timescale and we will tell you honestly when we can deliver the completed project.
The choice is your, obviously uploading it to your website is the quickest way or we can deliver your project on a CD/DVD. Or of course if you require both!
There are several ways that a Panorama or Virtual Tour can be viewed and each one uses 'plugins.'
The plugins available for viewing Panoramas and Virtual Tours are Flash, QuickTime, Java, Shockwave and OpenGL. Today experts agree that Flash 9 is the best plugin and it is 98% of all computer users have Flash installed, which means that additional plugins are required. Interface. If required Panormeter will produce an interface for all of your virtual tours so that they can be viewed on CD/DVD or the internet. And of course whatever we produce can be used on your website or indeed as a standalone micro site.
Floor plan. 360° Panoramas can be linked via a floor plan. This allows users choose how and where to navigate within a defined space. 360° Panoramas floor plans are very useful for realtors, architects or property developers - for an example of a floor plan click here.
Google Maps. We can integrate your Panoramas or Virtual Tours into Google Maps. This function allows visitors to your site see Panoramas which not in one location there is no end to the number of Panoramas which can be linked in this way.
Hotspots. Hotspots are smart links within a tour and can be integrated into Virtual Tours. To see how hotspots work click here.
